Reviews should always be based on equipment....

Hi,

As in the topic, I reckon that every review made in Hi Fi "world" should have been based on the equipment used with the item reviewed.
The reviews can get you in to the wrong place.
There might be two Awward winners, highly recomended, but the synergy between the will just make them sound bad.

As someone mention in their post there should be a shortlist next to the speaker or amplifier with the equipment to pair with which will give you the synergy.
 
Agreed. Check out the 'Now Add These' blocks beside some the reviews on the website (and, I think, in the mag).
