Hi WHF Team,

When will you be reviewing the LE46A786 I am soooooooooo tempted to press the order button but would at least like to know if it's any good first.

Thanks.

Not long to wait - the Samsung LE46A756 review appears in our next issue, in shops by Thursday (with subscribers by tomorrow). Yes, slightly different model number, but that's Samsung and its 'every retailer must seem to have an exclusive set' approach....

Are you 100% sure it's the same model? It's the LED backlit version correct? Don't take this as me being rude I am just so desperate to read a review of this specific set as I need a TV by Saturday morning and have heard great things about it but want to know what my favorite reviewers thought.

Any chance of us getting the review online before Thursday? 🙂

Thanks

You are, of course, absolutely right - the 750 model is the 'standard' 7 series LCD, with the 780 model the superior LCD spec.

In which case curse Samsung for getting us the 750 model first, as that's the one we've tested for next week's issue. Very interesting set, we thought....

Dear Clare,

I just ordered the Philips 47PFL 9703, any chance it is also in there, or a reason in the test to cancel the Philips? I like the design and feel of quality from the philips, and I also like the ambilight, that is why I am willing to pay a premium. But any results on other sets that would have me doubting my choice?

Thanks for the help!

Ramon

Hi,

How much did you get the 47PFL9703 for? I would be very interested to hear what this set is like regarding SD/Freeview performance and how the black levels fare to the current top plasmas.

Bazzy!

Gosh, it's tough this time of year - we're just starting to get the new premium ranges in (Sony W4500; Panasonic PZ800; Samsung 7 series etc) and are scrabbling to test them all in time for our Awards. It's gonna be close....

Any opinions on the W4500 yet? and do you know when you will be getting the X4500 in?
