Gonna move my sub and either gonna need a new,longer 'kettle' mains lead or keep the original and buy an extension lead. Is the kettle mains lead a bog standard sort which will be a standard replacement for the sub or would I be better off just buying something like a Belkin AV extension board?

The manual for my Q Acoustics sub says it's better to use a new longer power lead rather than an extension cable.
