hi,

My home theater configuration is:
- Denon AVR-2310
- Sony BDP-S760
- Maximun C-8000 CX-CI (Cable TV)
- Mission 735 (front)
- Misson 73c (center)
- Mission 731 Pro (rear)
- M & K V-125 THX (subwoofer)

Somehow, I would like to replace the Mission 73C center speaker. Does anyone have experience in a similar situation? What are the speakers which match with other Mission speakers? I have think about Mission 75C (it's very hard to find), B&W, JBL and Klipsch.

About 7 years ago i had Mission 752 front/751i ltd edition rears/75c centre with a rel sub. I replaced the lot after consultation at a dealers for M & K K7 sub sat system which comprised 3 K7's front 2 K15 rears and a KX10 sub. The M & K were in a different league. I have only just upgraded to the new M & K M7 system. The K's then were the same price more or less as the M's are now £1750 ish (depends on model and sub choice) but are well reduced in price now which makes K's in my opinion a bargain. My point being is as you have an M & K sub you could try a K7 (£127) or M7 (£269) as a centre after all they are classed as LCR's find a dealer who will lend you one to try. I really can't tell you what it will sound like with your current missions but i can tell you that going from my missions which i liked to the M & K's was a step up even though the missions were massive compared to the M&K's.

I wouldn't replace the centre with another from another manufacturer or even the Mission 75C. It will sound tonally different to the fronts and may not integrate as well. The 75C is a better centre speaker but if I went down this route I would look to replace the fronts with some other speakers from the 75 range like the 752 or 753.

Basically I would recommend changing the front 3 or none.
