Hey Folks,

A friend has recently rekindled my longing for a turntable and amp set up.

I am currently looking at a Pro-ject debut carbon, an Onkyo A3090 amp with a pair of Tannoy Mercury V1's.

All of which I shall have to buy as I don't own any hifi equipment.

Just wondering if this would be a good set up for someone wishing to get back into the pleasures of Vinyl.

Thanks

David

Looks like a good idea. Excellent value at Richer Sounds prices. (About £500 all-in?)

It's an Onkyo A9030. Just to avoid confusion.

Thanks for the help guys.

Yep my mistake A9030 it is, I already have the speaker cable sorted, as I will be using speaker cable I already have from my surround sound set-up.

As for the interconnects I am looking at Cambridge AUD300 1M.

I am torn between wall brackets or speaker stands.

David.

Well it has been a year, finally got the money to go and buy the system.

I got a Pro-ject debut carbon turntable, the Onkyo A9030 amp, but the nice salesman in RicherSounds talked me into buying a pair of Dali ZENSOR 1's, I am waiting for the turntable as it had to be ordered via special order as it wasn't stocked in the shop.
I got the rest of the system home and set it up, having listened to some music from my Phone through it, I can honestly say I can't wait to get the Vinyl playing.
Turntable arrives later today.
I also got the Cambridge interconnects and a pair of Soundstyle Z2 speakerstands.

My man cave is almost complete.
