Hi,
I have just purchased a Rega RP1 to replace an old cheap Kenwood turntable I had which was connected to my Sony STR-KS1100 sourround sound system.
When I connected the RP1 the sound levels are very low. Does this mean I need to get a preamp for the RP1? I thought the Sony system had an amp built in so it should be fine without? The old Kenwood turntable is much louder when connected in the same way - to the phono inputs of the Sony system.
Can anyone offer some advice on this?
Thanks
