Rega Fono MM Phono Preamp VS Cambridge audio 640p/651p

Rega Elicit Amp

Rega Fono MM Phono Preamp

Music Hall 2.2 TT

KEF Q900 speakers

Listen to:

Classic Rock

Electronic/Techno

Hip Hop

I currently have a Rega Fono MM Phono Preamp…the one from needle doctor. The Rega seems to be an alright preamp so far.

I heard great things about the cambridge audio 640p and now its latest model the cambridge audio 651p.

My question is would it be worth it to buy the 651p and return my rega…has anyone compared these two preamps?

Not the Elicit-R...just the rega elicit:

The internal card on the elicit is a MC and this is just to hold me over until i trade my grado gold MM for a higher quality MC...not sure which one yet.

I guess these are pretty low price preamps and no one knows...any recommendations then?
