O.k..so not getting much response form the turn table forum?

I'm investing in a new system, all be it slowly. I have just bought an apollo-r and run this through two Arcam alpha 8's(int/power) . I'm in two minds as to wether add the dac to the apollo or replace the Project debut with Rega TT RP6 . I could however get the dac and upgrade the debut alittle (new cartridge for starters)

I guess I'm trying to weigh up which make most sense, on a sonic level?

I will at some point add both but limited funds mean it's one or the other...umm. I also have a small but growing record collection and perhaps the debut will do for a year or two.

What would you choose and why?

What is the rough split of your listening between CD, vinyl, and streaming options? I'd go for whichever you are going to get the most use out of. I would be cautious about going too far with an upgrade cartridge on the Debut, though it would help to know which version of the Debut you have as it has been improved a few times since the original was introduced.

If you like the Rega Apollo-R sound, you will love the DAC-R teamed up with it. The improvement is dramatic.
