Hi all,

Does anyone know how to go about connecting an old school video (VHS) player to a new SONY Hard disc DVD recorder, so as to record the video onto DVD.

Thanks to all.

Cheers,

John

Not sure to be honest, my Dad is the chap with the query (240 miles away) and not having the bits in front of me I can't work out how it might work!!!!!!

Cheers anyway - I'll suggest he tries that.

My Sony dvd/hdd recorder has video/audio jack inputs on the front which i used to connect a camcorder so perhaps thats another route to look at,but you will have to change the input selection to suit.

I agree with laserman, the easiest way is to use standard phono (jack) leads from video/audio out on recorder to video/audio in on the sony, usually the leads are coloured yellow for video and red and white for left and right audio, but colour is not critical...hope this helps...good luck.
