Recommended USB lead between Beresford Caiman DAC and laptop

Any thoughts on a decent USB lead betwen my Beresford and my laptop?

I use a 5 metre USB lead from John lewis.

Any properly made USB cable - like Belkin for instance - will be fine.

Depending on how long it needs to be, any one of these will do the job.

Digital cables are all the same within reasonable lengths.

The better choice though, is to use an optical cable between a computer and a DAC. That isolates your computer from your hi-fi system, thus avoiding potential noise problems.

I have tried three USB cables, one cheap off my printer, a named one (Oehlbach) for £27 off Amazon and the one that came with my DAC which has a ferrite core and a good fit. I cannot tell the difference between them.

Hi.

Wireworld Ultraviolet USB cable. Thing is though, i haven't a clue why it works so well in my system, so naturally am unsure if it'll work well in yours!
