Recommendations for musical or film soundtracks

Unless I've missed them, no one has mentioned any of John Carpenter's filom scores. Halloween is a cracker, and Halloween III is predominantly electronic, and has elements of The Thing, Escape From New York, Halloween and Assault On Precinct 13 to it. This has been one of my most played film scores over the past twelve months.

I agree Carpenter's scores are good and were partly influenced by the work of Dario Argento and GOBLIN whose original score for "Suspiria" is also frighteningly good.

Awesome FIlm. Can't wait to own it on BD. I saw it at the cinema on a massive WB screen. It was so loud, it was quite frightening having huge Lions rore in your face. The DVD sounds great so it should be awesome on BD.
