I'd second the Foos Blu-ray - we've been using it as a tester, and it (literally) rocks

The Cream reunion gig at the Royal Albert Hall is also awesome in HD, but I believe it's not on Blu-ray in UK yet?

If you're into the Rolling Stones the 'Shine a Light' Blu-ray is excellent. It also comes with a digital copy for your iPod/mp3 player. The music on the Led Zepplin 'Song Remains the Same' is excellent, but there is a whole load of pretentious nonsense on the disc. I thought I had been given the wrong disc at first!

Hughes123:Could anybody recommend to me some really good Blu-ray music videos, such as live concerts of Pink Floyd etc?

Not your cup of tea I doubt but John Legend Live at the House of Blues is a brilliant BD. I listen to it through my stereo amp and it's sublime.

The Foos it is! Just a little question, is it in 2 channel aswell as surround? I don't have surround, so I don't want to be relying on my PC to downmix it...

How's the sound quality Clare ? I was at Wembley on the Saturday to witness the mighty Foo's, but from where I was sat the sound quality wasn't great. The 1st few songs especially sounded absolutely awfull, maybe it was alot better down on the pitch though. Mind you we did have a good view of the stage.

If it's any good I might have to stick that on my "things to buy list", although I am holding off buying anything else until I have caught up with a good few films I still havn't watched.

The Foo Fighters Blu-ray has stereo PCM as well as a 5.1 PCM, and a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. And yes, it's a great disc - I remember hearing that the sound was pretty average at the actual gigs but the disc sounds much more how you'd expect, with plenty of punch, power and dynamics.

Thanks Joe, good to know.

Pretty average is a bit of an understatement for the sound quality I was subjected to. Im not sure if it's just me getting older but there was way too much volume and now where near enough quality. Put me right off buying the Blu-Ray thats for sure.

It might of been a different story down on the pitch though, and from what I could see a dam site quicker to get a beer as well.

I'll stick it on my things to buy list.

Black Crowes - Freak n Roll -Into the Fog - fantastic audio (DTS HD) and visuals clocking in at 2hr 15mins for the concert alone.

Peter Gabriel - Growing Up Live is also a great DVD.

It may not be heavy but she has a presence, powerful voice and is an entertainer. An excellent quality BD Music is:

Celine Dion - A New Day live at Las Vegas.

Its a Sony disc with PCM uncompressed Stereo(96khz/24 bit), Dolby True HD 5.1 Surround Sound (96 khz/24 bit) or Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound (448 kdps).

Some really good documentaries plus she is one of the few who appreciates her fans. I had to turn down the Sub woofer for this one and the last song will raise the hairs on your neck.
