Hey, just a quick question from an audiophile noob:
I just bought the Yamaha A-S500 for $300 on buy.com; I've also recently purchased a Rega-RP1 and B&W 685 speakers. Currently the turntable and speakers are plugged into my nine year old Yamaha RX-V430 receiver. What I'm wondering is, when the amplifier arrives, is the best way to set it up just to ditch the receiver and plug everything into the amplifier? I have no need for surround sound, just my speakers and eventually a subwoofer. I suppose the alternative I'm thinking of is to plug the amplifier into the receiver, which I don't know if it that would make any sense.
Thanks,
Tom
