Hi everyone I'm new to the forum!

I am very happy with my set up apart from my rear speakers (sub could do with an upgrade too!).... I have MA Silver RX6s & Silver centre, but I only bought small Radius for behind.

I fancy an upgrade to RXFX but whatever I get it would need to go 6ft up the wall behind the sofa. I would really love to stay with the MA's as they are amazing speakers but will they do the job if they are up so high or would it be better to get something with a bracket that can be adjusted to point down??

Any thoughts would be good!

thanks

I have RXFX up high on the wall and they do great. High placement favours movies, lower multi-channel music - so it depends what you are listening to. If you place them behind your sofa, you'll want them up reasonably high, or you'll get to much direct sound, especially with movies.

It depends how close to you they'll be when 6ft up on the wall. You might want to send a picture of your room, with dimensions to Monitor Audio (Contact via web site - Support) and see what they say - they're very friendly and will tell you if they think the placement works.

I have used di-pole/bi-pole speaskers 6ft up a wall and they are fine. If anything this is a preferred location.

The set-up/calibration will compensate for positioning anyway...

I agree, and my RXFX are at the same height.
