I'm planning to get a new headphone amp within the month but until then I'm making use of the trusty Beresford. Only problem is the internal headphone jack is pretty crummy so I want to connect to the variable RCA out. Does anyone know of a cheap male RCA to 6.25mm adaptor I could use, or if this is possible at all? Thanks.

Yep, I'm not sure if some kind of attentuator would be needed. I've never seen anything like this either though it seems strange I haven't, am I missing something?

I've ordered some cheap ones off ebay to link my turntable to my Focusrite Saffire soundcard which has 6.25mm jack inputs. Have a look for 'phono socket to 0.25" jack plug adaptors and the seller was discotrader-uk.

Sorry... bit tired they were female RCA to 6.25mm male adaptors

Ha, you're clearly better than me at searching ebay! Cheers for that, not sure about the quality though it won't be used for too long. At least now I know they exist.

Pretty sure it'll be OK as it's just a line out. I've got a couple of attenuators if needs be, I'll probably whack the knackered sr60s on for a start just to be sure.

No, pretty undecided as yet. I like the looks of the LD but I like the fact the DV has fewer tubes. I like the fact the LD has a beefy volume knob to match my Benchmark's but I like the fact the DV is supposed to integrate better with AKG. It's all too much when you have to have it sent over from China before you can hear the damn thing!

If Andrew is out there would you care to remark if this is a wise thing to do from a line out straight to headphones?
