Any other listeners on this forum?

No longer on air since yesterday after 16 years broadcating. All about the fees that internet radio stations are now being asked to pay, making it completely impossible for non-commercial/non-profit making internet stations to remain viable.

This is from their Facebook page, an open letter to David Byrne, a member of the regulatory board responsible for the charges being levied..

A real shame.

That's good news! Been off air for 24 hours, things must be going on the background though.

I love Radio Paradise and donate a small amount every month as well as doing all my Amazon dealings via their website. Long may it continue, but reading that letter to David Byrne it may not be for much longer.

If this is the case then all the small stations will close..or take in advertising? Or ask their listeners for higher contribution?
