Quick Home Cinema Connections Help Please...

Hi all

I'm ordering my new home cinema system this afternoon, and I just wanted someone to check that I'm ordering the right cables! My AV will consist of:

Panasonic P42 V10 connected to Yamaha v1065 av receiver via HDMI

Sky+HD connected to Yam v1065 via HDMI and Optical

Sony PS3 to Yam v1065 via HDMI

Does this sound right? The SkyHD box will output full surround sound from the amp by using the optical cable for sound and HDMI for picture won't it?

Is there anything I'm forgetting?

that's it for cables - there's no real reason to connect the Sky box to the amp - you could connected directly to the telly and avoid a pass-through, but no biggie.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'd need to connect the sky box to the amp for surround sound though, surely?

Yes, optical to the amp. I don't think there is much in it (connecting hdmi to tv or amp).
