Question about Buttkicker

Hallo everybody,

I am planning on buying a Buttkicker LFE-kit but I have two questions. I only have one big sofa (5 persons) with legs at the right and the left, so no legs in the middle. If I put the transducers under one side (left or right), will the effect be evenly spread over the sofa? Or will you be able to tell were the effect is coming from?

A solution would be to buy a second transducer so I can place one at the left and one at the right. But buying a second LFE-transducer seems to be a bit overkill in my situation. Therefore, I was looking at the 'advance transducer' but it looks like those are not sold seperately, correct?

1 transducer was enough for my 3-seater sofa. If its on 1 side, obviously that side will experience more effects. It should transmit to the whole sofa. I would suggest try it first, and if the effects aren't enough, add a 2nd transducer.

Can u use a long length of wood, the unit placed in the middle? No experience - just a Heath Robinson idea.

Wood can dampen the vibrations, and addition of another joint (sofa legs sitting on wood) also won't help.
