Quadraphonic amplifier with HDMI & network

Hi there! I'm looking for recommendations on quadraphonic amplifier with HDMI & network. I currently have 4 KODA speakers, 4K SONY Android TV, HP Server and Apple devices. I definitely want to go for quadro setup, with quality sound over HDMI from TV. I would need few inputs to plug an iPad (or connect wirelessly), Allen & Heath Xone:32 dj mixer and the Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP sound card. Thanks in advance! Lakis

I can only assume he means surround sound and that he plans to run it with 4 speakers, because I haven't heard of a modern quadraphonic amp, much less one with HDMI.

No idea whether any AV amps can be set up for 4.1 (or 4.0) rather than the usual 5 speakers. Maybe there is a way to do it with some sort of phantom centre speaker setting, but I have no idea about surround systems/AV amps.

I have not seen a quadrophonic amp in recent years. The only way round this I think is to get an Av amp. If streaming, can play same sound from zone 2, or without a zone two configuration, remove center speaker from setup menu to get a 4.1 setup.

In the case of 4.0, no sub should be selected in set up menu.

Hi all! Thanks for your comments. To rephrase myself: I was looking for a 4 channel amplifier with HDMI & Network. I think I found a solution. Yamaha RX-V481 5.1 has a “Speaker Zone B Function” - here’s a link and all functions nicely explained https://goo.gl/9RihLt It has HDMI, Network, Bluetooth… all I need! Cheers!

More or less every surround reciver has a double stereo mode, so you can just use any surround reciver that sound god enough to you
