Hi all,

I have recently bought stands (3000ST) on eBay for my trusty 3020s. But, I cannot find anywhere that suggest the mounting screws between stand and speaker size. I saw on a website M8x18mm and they were way to think. Does anyone know the correct screw for the job!?

Thanks

Strangely there are no bolts listed in the contents. I’d give QA a ring to ask.

There are definitely hole in both speakers bottom and in the mounts. I will have to trial and error. Anyone else with any idea?

Whilst I cannot answer your question directly, are you sure they are the 3000st stands?

As nopiano has advised, the Q Acoustics site does not mention 'speaker mounting bolts' for that speaker stand but they do for the others.

Additionally, when I look at several images of those stands, the top plate looks to have an edge left & right and dips in the corners for (I assume) feet to sit in. There are no holes for mounting bolts.

Would be best to be absolutely sure what stands you have. As has been suggested, perhaps call QA or drop them an email.

Do the stands have holes for bolts? The speakers do for wall mounts. I have them on the wall for my side and rears in my AV setup. Fronts are just sat on stands.

Just to give you the benefit of my experience, I have some Atacama Aurora stands which have 4 holes in the top plate, a hole in each corner.
These are not designed to secure a specific speaker to the stands. They are used to secure an acoustic isolation pad on which to place a standmount speaker of your choice.
Having said that, if your 3020s, I've never lifted one, are intended to be secured to the stand then I reckon the receiving nut will match those for spikes. Spikes come in M8, which you've stated is too large, and M6. So my bet is on a bunch of 18mm M6 bolts for this job.
