Hi everybody. I am looking at changing my speakers and was wondering if anybody could help me out.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR 606 amp with Elac Cinema 1 speakers. I predominantly watch movies and tv, and only occasionally listen to music. The Tannoys were 2007 award winners, the Q Accoustics 2009 and 2010 award winners. The size of the speakers isnt important as I have a very tolerant wife[:D] I can get either of these for approx £380. The tannoys locally, the 2000's on the internet. My living room is approx 4 x 4.5 metres. I had pretty much decided on the tannoys until I found the deal for the 2000's.

Basically I was wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of either package that would help me decide.

Thanks for any help

Sorry i don't have either of them and run Quad-lites from my 606, demoed the customs and there great speakers but got the Quads for £425. If you can demo them i would, certainly the better deal is the Tannoys and i take it thats for the complete package including sub Brandnew as well. If so go for it, you might even find some F4 customs for the fronts going cheap and then have 7.1 setup or some spare stero speakers.

Good choice. The Tannoy's would have been my choice too.

Let us know how you get on with them once they are all set-up.

Yes it was. Seemed too good a price to miss. Just ordered some Atacama Nexus 6i stands and some wall mounts. They should be here by the end of the week, then I can play with my new toys!!!
