why do I lose so much volume and dynamics when going to my TT. My moon LP3 is boosted 60db for MC and I have it matched with my cartridge Dynavector Karot. Its to the point that I dont play my Lp's anymore due to this. Some say that cd to TT shouldnt be much of a difference but its dramatic. Any ideas

I think the Dynavector Karat is considered 'low output' for a MC * and maybe 70 dB is required (if you have selectable gain).

* The specs I looked at quoted 0.3mV for a 17D3 whereas the older one (17D2) has 0.23mv. (0.1 - 0.25mV = very low, 0.25 - 0.4mV = low)

How about a Trichord Dino? Selectable gain for 63dB, 70dB, and 74dB (for MC)

Have you filled your trohpy's and if so what with? How are you finding the bass?
