Really liking it as an alternative to my IPad Air 13-inch which cost the same price, excellent battery life for when the iPad Air is charging. Nice proper keyboard for a change. Good solid buy as a laptop. Last time I had 2 iPads, this time I choose one iPad and one MacBook Air for the same price.

Why did you need 2 iPads?
I had 2 iPad Pro’s customer returns from John Lewis back in the day and would charge one use the other. I am enjoying not having 2 iPads this time and pretty much all of the time use one iPad apart from when it needs charging I use the MacBook Air and finding I rarely need to charge the MacBook Air.

I've never felt the need to have 2 devices so that I could use one while charging the other...... except for an extra battery for my cordless lawnmower. I charge my devices when not in use, even if the charge is 30-40%.

My devices are pretty much always in use, and we never charge overnight.

I must admit there was another reason I bought the MacBook and this was because I didn’t realise iPads had pages on them! 😀

I ended up returning it! And using just my iPad Air now bought a 2m cable for it, sit and use it while on charge throughout the day, always have 100 per cent battery life now. Saved myself £800! 🙂

Don't keep the charger plugged in all the time. If the battery keeps being pushed back up 100% charge, every time it drops even just a little, whilst you are using it, the battery will deteriorate and lose capacity more quickly. Lithium ion batteries don't like that kind of treatment.

If you really want to keep the charger plugged in all the time, go into battery settings and enable the 80% charge limit. The battery will be much happier like that. Just charge to 100%, when you want to use the iPad away from the charger.

Thanks for the tip. I will indeed follow your advice. I have also reduced brightness right down. Cheers.

I would caution against easy payments as an attractive option for purchase:

Thanks BB. I have come to the same conclusion too and it’s not easy getting refunds when paying with Klarna and then returning in store either. Credit card is the only way forward for me.
