My console stopped reading any discs (games, BD or DVD) shortly after having the latest update installed. It pulls the disc in ok but then the disc icon at the top right of the screen spins endlessly to no avail, there is some slight noise from the drive but as I don't know how noisy it was before I can't say if it's normal or not.
I know about the issues with the laser needing replaced on PS3s but this seems too coincidental to me coming as soon as it did after the update.
Anyone ever had similar issues after carrying out an update? A quick google seems to indicate that it's not uncommon...
Will now have to sit tight and wait for the next update to see where I stand.
