I think it would be extremely difficult to get a satisfactory fixing and I'm not sure it would be worthwhile. Better off changing to a Rega deck but you'd need to go for the RP3 to get an upgrade as the Genie is every bit as good as the RP1, if not better.

Could be very wrong here, but I think the arms used on budget Pro-jects are clones of Rega decks.

Not really, and certainly not in this case. I've got a Genie 3 and an RP3 here and the arms are quite different both in design and quality (the bearing tolerances are much tighter on the Rega). Apart from anything else the Genie has an S-shaped arm, whereas Rega's arms have been straight for years.

I think most of these were fitted with a Linn Basik arm, not sure if that's the same as an old-style Rega fit.
