Has anyone got a profile 2 blu ray player.

Do you use the profile 2 stuff ie bd live?

Is it any good?

What do you do with it?

Do you find it useful or a complete waste of time?

Hi Gel

Yes i own a Pioneer Profile 2 blu ray player. The truth is i do not use the BD Live function, i have tried it out and is ok if your into trying to find out everything about the film or do some of the interactive features but i don't have time for even the features on the disc, i just watch the film and thats it, the most ive done is also watch the deleted scenes or the trailer which are on the disc.

So basically, it's something that is upto you, if you watch all the features of a blu ray or dvd disc, then maybe you will like the BD Live, for those like me who watch some of the features and mainly the film, then it's a no go on the BD Live.

Bluray has been poorly implemented from the start with changing specs/profiles but after HD-DVD were forced out of the market, we're stuck with it. Personally I rarely watch the extras and only very occasionally watch with director's commentary unless it's a film with some historic significance or a cult favourite of mine. BD-Live is just another way to force spam/junk mail (Content) on you.... IMHO of course.
