Professional tv calibration

Any forum users know of what to look for in terms of a qualification / certification for people who calibrate tv's? Also where to find one in Scotland?

Any help / info appreciated

I just had mine done on Tuesday.

Email www.displaycalibration.co.uk for more info. He's THX certified. The other qualification to watch for is ISF.

Read the first few pages of this thread Arguments for and against calibration. There should be in the first few pages a link to calibrators, but the three most active calbrators are Julian (also known as Canary Jules because he is a Norwich City fan!) at Display Calibration, Vincent Teoh and Stephen Withers, who calibrated all four of my televisions one memorable day in July last year. I'm in Edinburgh, and he travelled up specially. I don't know of any calibrators in Scotland, though I may be wrong.

If necessary put the names of these three calibrators into google.

To add to Son_of_SJ's recommendations, I'm pretty sure Gordon Fraser is from Scotland, though his company, Calibrate AV, is based in Guildford.

It may be worth giving Gordon a call, if only to ask if he could squeeze a calibration in if he's heading north of the border soon.

Gordon Fraser is indeed from Scotland, and both Dan Bland at the MovieRooms and Nick Wearmouth at HomeSound, (who worked together at the Home Cinema Centre in Edinburgh) use Gordon to do their calibrations and will be happy to vouch for him.
