Hi Folks,

Anyone else having issues playing Disneys Alice in wonderland on their panasonic blu-ray players? Gets as far as the language selection screen on my BDT300 then reboots the player. I guess it'll need a firmware fix from panasonic.. shame to see these issues still happening at this point in blu-rays life cycle

Cheers,

Mick

Hi Mick,

I've just bought the movie and had the same problem on my panasonic dmp bd80 player. Several frustrating attempts later and a search on the internet later learned that it is a problem with Panasonic and Samsung players, so a return to the store was out of the question. An update of the firmware did not solve the problem either, so I started to 'play around with the blu ray'.

Solution for my player:

After selecting the language, wait 10 seconds or so (hopefully your player hasn't rebooted yet), and then press stop (it takes a couple of seconds before the player reacts). When you see the normal login screen of your blu-ray player, press play and then select the language from the language selection screen... success the disc start to play.

Hopefully this solves your problem also. I've tried it on 4 seperate occasions and each time success.

Kind regards,

Gregory

Thanks Gregory

For the moment we're just playing it on our ps3 which is a good backup player to have in the house. I contacted Panasonic via email last week re the issue as i'm sure other have to, so hopefully a firmware update or disc fix will be forthcoming pretty quickly

Cheers,

Mick
