Hello everyone!
I own a KEF LS50 powered by a Marantz PM6005. The cables are simple bare 1.5mm2 speaker cables. I stream from an optically connected audio chromecast.
When the amp is in "direct source" mode everything seems to work properly. However, when I disable this mode and play with the "balance" button on the amp, I notice that there is almost no sound coming out of the left speaker, and with some crackling.
I checked my connections and everything seems to be fine.
Do you know where it could be coming from and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

.....Marantz crackling.

See the last post in the thread below:
Different Marantz amp, same symptom, same cure, guaranteed.
In your case, just treating the balance control would clear your problem - but do the lot.
After spraying, depress switches and fully rotate rotary controls a few times.

Servisol is your friend and should resolve this matter. It's likely dust has gathered in the balance pot as it probably hasn't had much use. I know my PM6007 spends all its time in source direct mode.
