PROBLEM - BUZZ/VIBRATION FROM AMPLIFIER

Hi,

I have a 5 year old Cambridge Audio Azur 340A Amplifier connected to a CD player. For a long time there has been a loud buzz or vibration from the amp. In fact, it has probably been there from the outset but only now is it annoying me.

It stops when any weight is placed on top of it, for example a relatively heavy book or a pile of CDs. Whenever they are lifted, it starts again.

Any ideas how to stop this or what it might be?

Take the case off, tighten up every screw/bolt you can find on the chassis, replace the case, tighten up all of the screws you can find on the exterior, including those on the bottom, like the screws holding the feet on etc.
