Yes, but it'll be meangless without knowing what system they've been heard in, or what system they're intended to work in - what do you have?

Modwright poweramp and tube pre-amp. Oppo BlurRay player but highly modified.

Especially keen to know how they perform at low volumes and what size room they work in.

Which Modwright do you have - KWA150? This is well powered and should match very well with the D38R. You could also consider the Focal 1028 Be speakers. Having said that, nothing compares to going for an audition on both with a dealer who will allow you to bring your current kit with you. At this level, a proper audition is essential.

ProAc are a very popular choice, and are quite lively sounding speakers with a nice sweetness to them - because of this, they're very good at lower volumes.

KWA150 Modwright, its a big unit, 40kg or so. 180,000uf capacitance so not your typical 150W machine. Probably a lot more in reserves than regular solid state amps

How does the Ribbon D38 compare to the base D38?
