Pro-Ject Switch Box

I'm thinking of buying a Pro-Ject Switch Box, to get the chance to hook up an FM radio and an iPod to my AVI ADM's.

This box has a 'trigger' input, that let you switch inputs with a remote control, when the box is attached to the Pro-Ject Stereo Box or Pre Box.

Anyone who know if this 'trigger' will work with a standard IR extender, like Xantech?

The Pro-Ject manual says that the 'trigger' is designed to work with Pro-Ject equipment only -- but you'll find statements like that for equipment that actually work with Xantech and the like.

Seems like I'll have to answer this one myself:

The 'trigger' input on the Switch Box seems to be 3-pole, while the normal IR extender plugs is 2-pole. So I guess the answer is 'NO'.

I bought the box anyway, and it's a beauty.
