Primare CD31

Have just bought the Primare CD31 to go with my l30 replacing Roksan Kandy Mk3,and find that though sound is in general superior and better balanced,feel that the bass seems quite light in comparison.I have the balanced interconnects and Rega R5 speakers.Any comments or suggestions?

I would have thought with the primare you should hear qaulity bass rather than fat bass from the Kandy! The Primare combo are too smooth for my taste and your speakers (which can do bass superbly well) also very smooooooth.....

Yes I suppose the bass is much more focused than the kandy which indeed does sound fat in comparison
