Does it make any difference if the left and right channels are the wrong way around in a two channel system? I.e. Left is right and right is left.

Exactly, and taking the example of an orchestra, the positioning of the instruments will be all @rse about face.

You might have to face in the opposite direction or do a headstand to get the correct stereo effect 😉

Ok good. Realised today that mine were the wrong way around for the last 4 days. Was wondering if it actually made a difference.
