Would like to have only one player for all formats, and since I own a couple region 1 dvd's the player has to be region free.

It's usually pretty straightforward to hack a player for DVD (Just Google your player & region free hack) , Region free Blu-ray however is a different matter and requires a hardware mod and thereby invalidating your warrenty.

I had a Sony BDP-S350 which I was able to hack (DVD) using my Logitech Harmony One remote. I think you can do the same with the BDP-S360, you need to look elsewhere on the internet to find the details. It's not as simple as entering a code via the Sony remote unfortunately. Alternatively, I think Richer Sounds sell a DVD region free BDP-S360. I'm not sure about Sony's more expensive models, e.g. the 760.
