Popping noises from chromebook

Hi All,

I have just changed my second system dac from a cambridge dacmagic to an mdac and I am having an issue with usb playback.

The mdac is fine on optical playback with cd and from my tv.

On usb playback with spotify/youtube I am getting random popping noises using an Acer chromebook, I was not noticing this with my dacmagic, I have not noticed this before with playback from the chromebook playing through a chord hugo.

I will borrow a friends apple book and see if the problem happens with that, my gut feeling it is a problem with the mdac usb input but wondered if anyone here had any thoughts on this ?

sometimes its a buffering issue that causes pop and clicks.

I have found it is a known problem with mdac's , I beleve there have been firmware upgrades , the latest being VA.10, but these all apply to mac or windows.

I have tried the mdac with macbook and the issue is not there.

I do not have the problem playing the chromebook via dacmagic or chord hugo.
