PMC Twenty 21 vs Harbeth P3 ESR

I think this will be a nice shoot out, tuesday I get my PMC twenty 22 on trial at home, but for my smaller study room I really want a demo between the small Harbeths vs the small PMC twenty's.

Anyone have an opinion or maybe listened to both PMC twenty 21 vs Harbeth P3 ESR?

I have no experience with Harbeth P3 ESR but I believe it is very similar to Spendor SA-1.

I have autioned PMC Twenty 21 gainst SA-1 when 21 was first launched. The mid range of SA-1 IMO is sweeter but PMC has a little bit better highs and the lows are more extended.

Intervoice's assessment is accurate - if you are comparing the Spendor SA1 with the PMC, you'll find the Spendor has better mids but the PMC has better bass.

However, the Harbeth is not that close to the Spendor and is much closer to the PMC in overall voicing, ie The P3ESR has better bass than the SA1 but the latter wins with a better midrange. My personal choice is the Harbeth but that's because I think the sonics being almost equal, the P3ESR has nicer cabinetwwork As always, best to audition and let your ears decide!
