Hello all!!!
I need your advice I have just bought amp. Denon m39 and I have dilemma witch speakers choice:
Wharfedale diamond 10.1 or
Wharfedale diamond 220

I know that 220 are newer model etc. But is it really worth to go for it ? Or with such amp it won't make big difference? I forgot to say I m going to use it for music only...

Thank you!

Taking specifications into account (but you can read into them whatever you want) and a £70 price difference I'd say stick with the cheaper Diamond 10.1's and buy more music or decent stands.

This only if you feel they are big enough for your listening space.

Cool thank you! P's there is not much of a difference in the price between them defo less than 70 quid 20-30 ish :)

Perhaps you could show the OP where you get this from.

The cheapest I can find the 10.1's is £129 and the cheapest 220's are £199..... can you find them cheaper??

You will know if you have read the forum posts that some believe speaker wire is about the amount of copper and others believe that specific design is important. I am in the first category, and would suggest van damme blue as a known decent option. If your cables are arond 5m or less then 2.5mm copper cross section area would be sufficient, any longer and you might consider 4mm. You can buy this on amazon and various other sites.

If you want to understand the length-area issue more look up speaker wire on wikipedia.

I am sceptical about expensive speaker wire which doesn't even specify copper area.

Banana plugs probably don't do anything sonically, but once on make the cables easier to deal with.

There are plenty available on amazon etc, possibly go for the dual screw variety.
