Playing FLAC files on Denon 3312?

Hey,

I can't seem to find a way to play FLAC files on my Denon 3312, though I know it's capable of doing so.

I browse my PC's music folder using the Media Server but whilst it shows up all my mp3s, my FLAC files/folders don't show up at all.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try Asset uPnP instead of WMP which I'm assuming you're using.

As suggested - windows media player doesnt support flac, so they wont show up.

Need to use another UPNP server like asset, tversity, ps3mediaserver etc.

Why Denon insist on using WMP as their mediaserver when it doesnt support flac is a mystery.

I use Denon 1912, i could play the Orginal FLAC album I bought from store But it doesnt play the converted files (converted by software).

i didnt get teh concept.

Hi there. You can play the flac files with a pen/thumb drive(Make sure its formatted in FAT32 system). Just plug it in the usb port in the front panel & voila. it plays just fine & the quality's superb
