Playing files from my laptop on my Sony 32ex403

I want to play some videos on my laptop through my sony 32ex403. My laptop does not have a HDMI connection. How can I do this ?

Download ps3 Media Server and stream through DLNA? It's easy to set up and it has good transcode picture quality if the video format is unsupported too.

I have achieved what I want by connecting my laptop to the tv via a vga cable. The problem the picture only occupies a small part of the tv screen. How do I make it fill the tv screen please ?
