Not sure if anyone else has noticed by Play has largely stopped matching Amazon since the sale of Play. To be honest, I've stopped largely using Play due to slow delivery times. :shame: Any thoughts?

Yes and I agree with you, I think the actually delivery times of Play have slowed. I have always really prefered Amazon though...

I usually prefer Amazon due to their superior customer service. I buy from play only if it's cheaper.

I had ordered a mobile phone pouch from play, & they didn't deliver it for almost 3 months; so I cancelled it & bought it from Amazon.

My best purchase from Play has been Goldring NS1000 for £48. I've never seen it sold anywhere else at that price.

Play.com sold to Rakuten of Japan for £25m
Price reflects move to close tax loophole that allows Channel Islands retailers to avoid charging VAT on DVDs and CDs.

Maybe this is why......

Never had an issue with Amazon and their no quibble refund policy for their own items is a winner for me. Returned a Nokia N8 earlier this year when it turned out to be a turkey and had the money back in no time.

For me it has to be Amazon every time..... In the past customer service with Play has been hit and miss, whereas with Amazon I've never had the slightest problem and they keep you better informed too. In Plays' defence they are still a good online retailer, with great prices, just my personal preference will always be for Amazon, cheers Richard.

Usually use Amazon but Play had great deals on both a laptop and blu ray player in the past that Amazon priced over 20% more and they both arrived the next morning. Hope they can stay competetive.
