Hi,

I've bought the panasonic 42VT20 and would like to get a Blu-Ray player.

Is it ok to get a Blu-Ray player form a different brand; let's say the Sony: "B-R Of The Year".

Or is it better to stay with the same brand and get a panasonic ?

Cheers,

Vaidyapaul

no problem whatsoever mixing and matching brands of TV and Blu-ray player (assuming technical specs suit, which all modern models should cope with).

The main advantages of sticking to one brand are:

1) Typically matching styling

2) Being able to use one remote control for both units

3) Bundle deals at retail - you may be able to buy two units for a knockdown price (even get the BD player free with your TV).

Up to you whether these benefits outweigh the better performance you may get from mix/match combo.
