Indeed, ignorance is bliss on these things - I don't point out any I see on other people's TVs now as ever since I pointed one out to someone, he says he now can no longer watch his screen without seeing it and it annoys the hell out of him!
Best not to know!

They have highly-trained staff who examine every single one by eye.

Blink and you'll miss it. How do you know where you stopped?

Well, an automated system runs a series of test screens designed to highlight pixels stuck on white, black and each colour, and I guess with experience these people can spot them almost instantly.

BTW - and don't try this at home - they also thump the screen in various places to make sure the picture recovers after it goes all bleached out for a second after impact.
