PIONEER VSX520 any thoughts?

i have recently upgraded from a sony str db830qs to a pioneer vsx520 mainly for hdmi use and hd sound, i auditioned this against a sony dh810 at richer sounds, both on offer for 279.99 with 5 year supercare. i found the pioneer to be better than the five star award winning sony with soudstage and dynamics with my setup and the mcacc setup to be a god send. anybody have any experiences with either amp?
