Yes, but these ones are being sourced by Dixons, so nothing to do with any previous Pioneer TVs, plasma or LCD. It's just a brand-licence deal.
gel said:That doesn't sound good then right?
gel said:Currys and PC World are getting them too:

Now I am a bit more excited.

Dixons are part of the same group as Currys and PC World.

This TV costs a small fortune though but then it is 60 inches.
gel said:Our local Currys has got a lot better, I went there Saturday afternoon to check out the new LG OLED TV, but it wasn't there, but they did have about 5 4K TVs all of which were really good. The Samsung and LG ones were very impressive. We have a megastore and it is starting to get pretty good.

Fair enough but you still wouldn't buy a TV there would you? Again, enough said.
I would pop into Currys simply to look at the latest TVs if other stores didn't have them but the fact remains they would have to pay me to shop in there for a TV, the stores have got better that much is true with regards to stock but the salesmen remain as clueless as ever and the actual experience of shopping there remains a chore. I gave them a shot when shopping for my 55F8000 and the salesman was useless, he was simply intent on trying to push me onto a Sony W9 by making wild claims with no substance...I even had a word with the manager about it and told him he lost a potential customer because of it and to get his facts right although I had no intention of buying there in reality.
After hearing many nightmare stories about the complete failures of their customer services department on these very forums too when it comes to after sales service with TVs it puts me off even more. When you compare them to John Lewis who give you a free 5 year warranty, price match, usually are cheaper anyway and have far better customer service I can't see a valid reason to buy a TV at Currys, Dixons or PC World or am I missing something??

I wouldn't until I read this:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/returns-cancellations-1043-theme.html
The terms they offer are quite good, they accept returns. I suppose it will come down to how expensive they are and how good they are.
Yep, the guys in most shops are bad, I just avoid them and compare against my Panasonic TV - a reference TV.
