pioneer or not to pioneer

Im just about to upgrade my tv and i know about pioneers announcement to stop making tv,s and a pdp5090 for under 2k is on the cards but it is a year old and in the past pioneer kuro was the best a man could get but is there any tv,s on the market that have a better picture quality for the cash or come near as dam it close for less.

IMO ~ It does depend on what you want the TV for. The pioneer is very good in dead (WHF Tested it also) but it doesnt come with many features. If you have all the features / sound set up externally (and the space!) then the pioneer is very good. Other TVs now have WiFi, BlueTooth, internet connections, USB ports etc etc ...

thats a fair point but add-ons are not realy my concern nor is sound thinking about it as my amp takes care of that so just good picture and good motion handling.

A few people are raving about the new Panasonic's, have a Google.

I don't regret one minute getting the 5090 though.
