Pioneer LX5080W or Sony 52W4500 ? Which is best?

I noticed John Lewis is selling last year's model Pioneer 50 inch plasma for around £1850 which is similar in price to the new Sony 52W4500. How do they compare? Any comments gratefully received!

Definitely buy the Pioneer! ÿThe contrast is WAY better than Sony and the standard-definition performance is also good enough to put the Sony to shame, and so is the colour and the motion. The Sony is 2" bigger and it has a bit more white punch and detail than the Pioneer, but overall, the Pioneer is the one to get.
