can you tell me the difference between bdp-lx71 and 08, is the 08 capable of dts-hd master audio where the 71 not? Do you think the 08 is worth the extra cash?

We haven't tested the '08 yet - but it's due in next week, along with the Pioneer LX51. Reviews in due course!
Clare can you do a comparison with the Denon and the Panasonc BD55. I want to pick up another BD player for the living room and move the PS3 to the bedroom.
We're putting together a Blu-ray player test-fest for our February issue, out January 7th, including the two new Denon players, two new Pioneer players, new NAD, new Onkyo and more, up against the best of the rest (Panasonics, Sonys, firmware-upgraded PS3 etc).

We finally received a 'Z' set at 3pm on Friday - and despite all the assurances of it being the 46in model, the 40Z4500 turned up (first impressions good - no clouding/bleeding in evidence!). A test of that will appear online by midweek, and we'll keep trying for the 46in. Sigh....
