Thanks

Hi da_grudge

I have a Kuro PDP-508XD and the Panasonic BD85 works a treat with it. It is also a good cd player.

Btw, i have not used the LG.

Thanks

Surely a bd player by marantz or cambridge audio (if cost is an issue) would be better if you are planning to use it as a cd player.

well, shure, but price is a problem, thats why I refered those three...I guess the pioneer probably has the best audio of the three...

musicraft, but have you used the pio 320? and think the pana is better?

tx

Hi da_grudge

I have compared them both.

For picture i fed both machines via HDMI into a Kuro PDP-508XD and overall i preferred the picture of the BD85.

For audio i compared the cd playback of both players by using the analogue output and feeding them into Chord Electronics DSP8000/SPM3005 and ATC's SCM40. Neither player was better as such but had different presentations. In short the Pioneer was smooth whereas the Panasonic was more dynamic.

All the best
