Hello all

I have taken delivery yesterday of a 4280XD and auto installation was perfect and amazed with the standard of picture etc..

I am now completely stuck when just trying to get an input from my Virgin V+ box and also the Blu Ray from my VAIO laptop. Have connected a Belkin Pure HDMI lead from the box to the HDMI Input 1 and nothing.

I must have done something bad because the on light is flashing blue and the manual says to contact a service centre.

Have I destroyed my TV ?? Can someone help me with this as I feeling stupid to put it mildly ??

Thanks in advance. Ian

Give them a call and see what they say. The blue flashing light can mean a variety of things from what I've heard ranging from minor to serious.

From memory, I'm pretty sure that Input 1 is set to SCART but can be switched to HDMI in the options. You can't have both plugged in at the same time on the same Input. The flashing light could just be a warning about that but I'm not 100% sure on that. If you are going from the V+ box via Scart, go into Input 1 and go into Input 3 with the HDMI - again you might need to enable HDMI in the options. If it's still flashing after trying all that, then definitely contact the service centre.

Hello Fuzzy

Thanks for such a quick reply.

The manual said to use input 1 for the decoder and then, with desperation, I put a Scart lead in as well. Maybe this is where I went wrong.

As you can imagine, I am hoping it is a warning only after a whole day of use.
